Ok so I’m not Mormon anymore but I’m still Hispanic. Did Trump fulfil his campaign promise to turn all that fat into muscle so to speak? Basically ridding the streets of nationals of another country who are here without my permission and increasing legal immigration from Mexico and Canada (our neighbors).
Well fat can’t actually turn into muscle. You have to lose the fat first. And you have to use every calorie you take in to do that. That means I should have a job before we take in any more Korean nationals legally.
I feel it is racist to only think about one group of people when discussing something that affects everyone like comprehensive immigration reform.
Here in Arizona they’re raising the minimum wage. That makes it even less likely that an employer will pay me an amount which will let them accommodate my disability. But I know the accommodations I’m asking for are reasonable. It’s just that potential employers will find any reason to not hire the disabled person. Or so I hear. When the minimum wage goes up to call-center wage levels, it would actually be in my interest to work a job where I’m less productive. How ironic.
What I’m trying to say is that we should consider voting for Libertarians because their plan envisions EVERYONE exploiting their own talents to their hearts’ desire. We will have different pay structures besides hourly or salary under the Libertarians’ rule of government. Will I keep getting social security income under Libertarians? I don’t think I would need it!
Vote for Donald Trump if you seriously cared about individual mandate getting repealed. What else will he revoke? But honestly I think Trump did exactly what I wanted him to do and there’s no other reason to keep him. He appointed Neil Gorsuch. Do we need a non-Freemason for more than 4 years? I really didn’t think we needed a black president for 2 terms when he kills his own black babies. Let’s try a conservative black like Alan Keyes! Yup, the guy who lost to Obama in the Illinois senatorial race before he ran for president.
Magical things are happening. I think it’s time we start electing Libertarians. Let the magic continue.
2 Sundays ago was General Conference so there was no church. I decided to go to Catholic Mass with my mom (who is still Catholic). The priest said during his homily that Christians are obligated to vote for pro-life candidates. When deciding who to vote for, he said, we should examine our conscious.
This makes me wonder if it is a sin to vote for Hillary Clinton. I wanted to vote for her but I happen to know she is an anti-life, pro-choice extremist. I really liked Bill Clinton because he said abortion should be “safe, legal, and rare.” But Hillary believes in abortion on demand for any reason. She argues that minors should have their privacy protected by not obliging parental notification of an abortion. She agreed with Obama that fetuses who survive an abortion should not be given medical attention. Her vice-president, Kaine, voted against a bill that would make abortion illegal after 20 weeks pregnancy. Hillary Clinton is not like Bill Clinton when it comes to abortion.
Not that I’m Catholic. I’m very much Mormon. But our church is against abortion too!
Anyway, I don’t know if I can vote for Donald Trump because he wants to defund Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood offers non-abortion services like mammograms and cervical cancer screenings that should not be defunded. But I do think they should make it illegal for someone who works for Planned Parenthood to even mention an abortion to a patient who is just coming in for information that will help them in their state of pregnancy. The patient should have to ask specifically for abortion information. And tax money should never fund an abortion.
Hillary Clinton is for repealing the Hyde Amendment which makes it illegal to fund an abortion with taxpayer money. Medicaid can’t pay for an abortion. Medical can’t pay for an abortion. AHCCCS cannot pay for an abortion. But Hillary Clinton wants to change that. That is why I simply cannot vote for Hillary Clinton, sin or not. She wants ME to pay for an abortion!
Donald Trump is not exactly pro-life either. He believes in exceptions for cases of rape and incest. But a Catholic who examines their conscious should probably vote for Donald Trump. I don’t know if I can vote for him because he’s said some offensive things about Mexicans (I’m Mexican). But I have heard him in his rallies saying that he loves Mexicans — the legal ones. I’m one of the legal ones so I try not to get offended when he says things about Mexicans that are illegal and slips up and refers to them simply as Mexicans.
It would take great humility on my part for me to vote for Donald Trump. But I think that’s what I have to do after hearing this pro-life homily at Catholic Mass. I wish the LDS Church would talk about abortion more. I was pro-life when I was Catholic and I’m still pro-life now that I’m Mormon. I think the Catholic teachings on life and abortion are truth that the LDS Church should adopt.
No one really wants to hear an Atheist talk about what Jesus commanded us to do. At least we try to have a relationship with Jesus.
Pretty funny, though. He has knowledge of Jesus’ sayings from the Gospels which is pretty impressive. But did he read the one that said “Judge not that ye be not judged?” (Matthew 7:1) Why is he judging how good of Christians some people he doesn’t agree with politically are?
Well Matthew 7:2 says that Bill Maher should be judged to the same extent that he was judged. Thus, I will judge how good of an Atheist he is.
I know some very good Atheists who believe that this is our only life and after we die we don’t live anymore. Thus, they respect everyone’s right to life and happiness. Bill Maher, on the other hand, says he’s in favor of anything that reduces the amount of people on the freeway. That means he’s pro-death.
Bill Maher is not a good Atheist. He couldn’t even judge another Atheist worthily. How dare he judge Christians.
I’m going to be careful here, because there some actual Christians who I actually respect, including Protestants and Evangelicals and who are also still living. And when I think of Christianity and Christians as someone who isn’t, I think of these people and I think of their groups. And all of those charities that they run. That house the homeless, feed the hungry, some groups even go as far as educating the ignorant so they can get themselves a good job. All things that the so-called Christian-Right and a certain segment of the Tea Party views as socialism or communism.
When I think of Christians, I don’t think of Michelle Bachmann, Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, all these so-called leaders of the Christian-Right. Who go out of their of putting people down and hating and saying so many horrible…
